The Original Avatar Film Returns To Theaters With Remastered Picture And Sound

The first record Avatar James Cameron’s film is re-released in theaters with remastered image and sound. Producer Jon Landau made the announcement at CinemaCon, where the film industry has come together to get all the latest news on new projects and upcoming movies. Director James Cameron has worked hard to bring Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 to theatres. We also learned that Avatar 2 now bears the official title Avatar: The Way of Water. As for the original Avatarit returns to theaters this fall on September 23.

It has also been confirmed that the first trailer for Avatar: The Way of the Water will screen exclusively in theaters with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Disney’s reported thought was to replicate Sony Pictures’ success with Spider-Man: No Coming Homewho co-starred Doctor Strange 2 Benedict Cumberbatch and helped organize the aftermath events.

20th Century Studios President Steve Asbell spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about juggling the company’s transition under Disney and navigating feature films with streaming and TV deals. The topic of conversation quickly turned to Avatar 2 releasing in 2022, with Asbell quickly responding that the film will hit theaters later this year.

Without hesitation, Asbell replied, “Yes. It will,” when asked about Avatar 2the exit. He then added, “For real. This is going to blow people’s minds. You’re not ready for what Jim is doing.”

Asbell was then asked how 20th Century Studio plans to market the film, as it will be over 10 years since the first. Avatar has been freed. “I can tell you that there is no better marketing apparatus in the industry than Disney,” he said. “They’ll do an amazing job of rekindling that passion for the original film. It’s not just a sequel, it’s a saga. And it’s a family saga. It’s going to be compelling on its own, but it’s also going to be hugely compelling. to go back to those characters and see how they evolved. Avatar be a very big movie and more about how Avatar was a very important cultural moment for the public. I don’t think it will be difficult to convince people to come back.”

The synopsis for Avatar: The Way of the Water reads: “More than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of the Water begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the troubles that follow them, the efforts they make to protect themselves, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies that they endure. Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Winslet . To whet the public’s appetite, the studio is reissuing Avatar in theaters September 23.”
