Talas announce their new album ‘1985’

TALAS have announced a new album!

Title 1985the classic hard rock band’s next album is set to be released in September this year via Metal blade discs. This is their first studio release since disbanding in 1985. The album features vocals from Phil Narowho sadly passed away in 2021.

Speaking of their comeback, bassist Billy Sheehan Explain, “The moment was right and we were all in it, no one needed convincing, we were all immediately fired up to do it. It’s like we never stopped – it all came together so easily. It was quite wonderful.

As for why people should be excited for the group’s return, Sheehan said, “Because there were so many of them there, with us, and a million other great bands who made the 80s such a special musical experience. And also there are so many who maybe weren’t there but also fell in love with that spirit. We feel a very special connection with all of them.

Sheehan adds, “We wanted a snapshot of our musical life from 1985. It’s the same spirit, mostly the same people, and it brings the 80s into 2022. The 80s were an amazing time for music and bands, and we were all excited to get back to that, and I would say the record is raw, real, honest and uplifting.

Along with the announcement of the new album, the band released a brand new single, titled crystal clear.
