SVS unveils new Prime Wireless Pro speakers, SoundBase

SVS was one of a handful of audio companies haunting the halls of the Venetian Hotel’s North Tower at CES 2022, but the trip there was well worth it to see the company’s new Prime Wireless Pro speakers. An evolution of the company’s current Prime Wireless model, the new version features a larger enclosure for deeper bass, an eARC HDMI input, and, in response to user feedback, a remote control.

However, SVS didn’t stop there with upgrades for its new model. The Prime Wireless Pro adds Chromecast built-in and AirPlay 2 to boost speaker compatibility with all kinds of streaming sources (the current model supports DTS-Play Fi, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth, and all of these features will be retained). A 5.25-inch woofer and a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter are used for the new speakers, which are powered by a built-in 200 watt (50 watt x 4) amplifier. As with the current model, Amazon Alexa and Google voice commands are supported, and there is also a subwoofer output jack.

SVS is also launching a new version of its SoundBase Wireless multiroom amplifier for use with passive speaker systems. The Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase offers all of the same features as the Prime Wireless Pro speakers and will ship with the new speakers arriving (circa March 2022).

The Prime Wireless Pro speakers will be available in black or white finish options and are expected to sell for $ 799 / pair. The Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase is expected to sell for $ 599.
