Artists That Sound Like: The 1975

Brett Lloyd

Breakthrough on the alternative/indie music scene in 2013 with their debut album The 1975, the band of the same name had hits such as “Girls” and “Chocolate,” which took Tumblr by storm. Since then, it has been a non-stop success for the British group. They have since released three more albums and are releasing their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Being funny in a foreign language on October 14 of this year.

Between the whimsical style and the masterful lyrics, with each album The 1975 constantly evolves not only their sound but also the aesthetic of the group, each album being a new phase.

I think that’s one of the many reasons why not only me, but many others find themselves fans of the band, just as we as people evolve, so does their music. Much like The 1975, these 10 artists are sure to keep you hooked for any upcoming song or album.
