The young artists teamed up with the charity Youth Highland and professional artists to create the immersive piece, Where’s Your Head At, expressing thoughts and experiences of life in the Highlands, including the effect of the pandemic .
Between February 10 and 13, the piece will be exhibited at four Highland venues: The Scout Hut in Balintore, The Clay Studio in Merkinch, Thurso Youth Club and ending at Alness High Street North Car Park.
The project is funded by the Scottish Government’s Youth Arts Fund through Creative Scotland and is supported by the Youth Music Initiative and Time to Shine.
Clair Nichols, chief executive of Youth Highland, acknowledges the challenges young people have faced during the pandemic.
“Young people have missed a lot and made great sacrifices during the pandemic,” she said.
“Their stories and experiences will act as a lasting legacy and we must help realize their hopes to ensure they move positively into the future.”
Youth Highland supports the development of quality voluntary activities within Highland communities and supports a network of voluntary organisations.
The aim is to bring about positive change in the lives and communities of young people through youth work.
Events will take place at 6:30 p.m. each day.
